Breaking news!!

Oh! the big news of the day... I'm officially done with nursing school! Had my predictor test today and I pass and that means I'm done with school. In January or February I can take the NCLEX. Graduation is 12/12/07-- 6:30pm at HDC

Oh! I found this video on you tube and I love it:
I helps me to remember the real reason of Christmas... more to come on this later :-)

Oh! Do you see a theme with this?!!? I got a Christmas tree today and I decorated it I will post some pictures of it soon :-)

One more thing, today is my little sister's birthday-- she turned 19! I can't believe that she's all grown up with a job and stuff, I keep thinking of her as my annoying little sister who is only there to slow me down when I'm going for bike rides... now it's me trying to keep up with her as we going hiking or hanging out! Happy Birthday #6! IYQ ;-)

Always There

Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.

You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please to keep,
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.

Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You, too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!

Fun Things to Do in an Elevator

So I just found this online and I was busting up the whole time I was reading it, enjoy!!

Fun Things to Do in an Elevator

  • Make race car noises when anyone gets on or off.

  • Blow your nose and offer to show the contents of your kleenex to other passengers.

  • Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering: "Shut up, all of you just shut UP!"

  • Whistle the first seven notes of "It's a Small World" incessantly.

  • Sell Girl Scout cookies.

  • On a long ride, sway side to side at the natural frequency of the elevator.

  • Shave.

  • Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside ask: "Got enough air in there?"

  • Offer name tags to everyone getting on the elevator. Wear yours upside-down.

  • Stand silent and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.

  • When arriving at your floor, grunt and strain to yank the doors open, then act embarrassed when they open by themselves.

  • Lean over to another passenger and whisper: "Noogie patrol coming!"

  • Greet everyone getting on the elevator with a warm handshake and ask them to call you Admiral.

  • One word: Flatulence!

  • On the highest floor, hold the door open and demand that it stay open until you hear the penny you dropped down the shaft go "plink" at the bottom.

  • Do Tai Chi exercises.

  • Stare, grinning, at another passenger for a while, and then announce: "I've got new socks on!"

  • When at least 8 people have boarded, moan from the back: "Oh, not now, motion sickness!"

  • Give religious tracts to each passenger.

  • Meow occassionally.

  • Bet the other passengers you can fit a quarter in your nose.

  • Show other passengers a wound and ask if it looks infected.

  • Sing "Mary had a little lamb" while continually pushing buttons.

  • Holler "Chutes away!" whenever the elevator descends.

  • Walk on with a cooler that says "human head" on the side.

  • Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce "You're one of THEM!" and move to the far corner of the elevator.

  • Burp, and then say "mmmm...tasty!"

  • Leave a box between the doors.

  • Ask each passenger getting on if you can push the button for them.

  • Wear a puppet on your hand and talk to other passengers "through" it.

  • Start a sing-along.

  • When the elevator is silent, look around and ask "is that your beeper?"

  • Play the harmonica.

  • Shadow box.

  • Say "Ding!" at each floor.

  • Lean against the button panel.

  • Say "I wonder what all these do" and push the red buttons.

  • Listen to the elevator walls with a stethoscope.

  • Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers that this is your "personal space."

  • Bring a chair along.

  • Take a bite of a sandwich and ask another passenger: "Wanna see wha in muh mouf?"

  • Blow spit bubbles.

  • Pull your gum out of your mouth in long strings.

  • Announce in a demonic voice: "I must find a more suitable host body."

  • Carry a blanket and clutch it protectively.

  • Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.

  • Wear "X-Ray Specs" and leer suggestively at other passengers.

  • Stare at your thumb and say "I think it's getting larger."

  • If anyone brushes against you, recoil and holler "Bad touch!"
  • On Wings of Eagles

My older brother sent this to me a long time ago, Thu, 3 May 2001, to be exact!

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us -- and all of us will experience them -- we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them. The Bible says, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." (Isaiah 40:31) AMEN!

But because I am a skeptic
about EVERYTHING I hear, I'll be researching to see if eagles really do fly this way!! I will get back with you and tell you what I find out :-)

    In the beginning...

    Hi Y'all!

Now that I'm just about done with school I've found that life has gotten so boring! My good friend S'MEE has a great blog that I like to read.... which led me to what to attempt to make my own. I'm not sure how people normally blog stuff, seeing as the only blog I really read is S'MEE's, but for me it's going to be just my thoughts, adventures, and any other cool stuff I want to share.
