My sister informed me that she was still checking my blog hoping that I would post something again. I started to think about and I enjoy the little bit of bloging I did. So here it goes...... again :-)
Quick little up date, I work day-shift now at General hospital the best hospital in the area! I'm working in ER as a RN (yes that's registered nut). Work has been driving me crazy, but with the poor economic times I really can't complain. I have probably one of the few jobs that I can pick up as much overtime as my heart desires.
A few months back a dog her named Akie (a-key)came to live with me. She's my good buddy and gets my outta bed nice and early every morning. Akie is a 6 month old black lab who came home house trained. I felt pretty lucky not to have to clean any poo-poo up! Akie is a good girl, except when she murders a poor neighborhood animal (chicken) who I really didn't like either =) But none the less Akie is now a murder. You can probably guess what her nickname is!
I've joined a plant club of sorts makes it so I can get into few of the big arboretums in so-cal for free. Yes I understand that this means I've now passed the point of no return I HAVE A VERY BORING LIFE...lol
Anywho, I'll attempt to keep this updated ;-/ Maybe I'll take pictures of my plants at arboretums. TTYL

Just A Thought
“Character cannot be summoned at the moment of crisis if it has been squandered by years of compromise and rationalization. The only testing ground for the heroic is the mundane. The only preparation for that one profound decision which can change a life, or even a nation, is those hundreds of half-conscious, self-defining, seemingly insignificant decisions made in private. Habit is the daily battleground of character.”

Isn't It Strange....
Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church , but such a small amount when you go shopping?
Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?
Isn't it strange that you cant find a word to say when you're praying but... you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?
Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel or ZANE GREY book?
Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?
Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?
Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others;but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?
Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say but, we question the words in the Bible?
Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven but... they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?
Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?
IT'S STRANGE ISN'T IT? Now that you've read this message, will you forward it to anybody that you consider a friend, family member or foe (enemy).
Today I as I was listing to Air1 I heard one of my favorite Christan rock songs today by Brandon Heath called "Give Me Your Eyes". It's an amazing song, go listen to it. You'll like it too :-)
The song talks how seeing things in Gods eye's/knowing what he knows, would change the way we do things.
It makes me think of a lot of things I need to do.

Long Time No Post :-)
I've been getting these pretty cool e-mails from an unknown person. I think is someone from my old ward, Desert Knolls. Anyways she sends these really cool stories to a big group of people, a few days ago I got this one and thought it was amazing.
Sand And Stone
Two friends were walking through the desert during some point of the journey, they had an argument; and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: Today my best friend slapped me in the face
They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire! And started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: 'Today my best friend saved my life'
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, 'after I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?'
The friend replied 'when someone hurts us we should write it down in sand, where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. When someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it'
Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Take the time to live! Do not value the things you have in your life, value who you have in your life!
"That's all for now folks"!

I'm Offended!!!!!
I consider myself a spiritual person. I pray daily, listen to Christian rock, and do my best to be a good follower of my Savior God. Awhile back I was at a general conference and one of the speakers spoke on something that's stuck in my head ever since.
It was about getting offended. It stuck with me this long because I get hurt very easily. It seems when I'm trying to help people is when I get struck down the most. It took me a little bit to finally find the transcript for the speech, but if you get a chance very good, highly suggest reading it. Brother Bednar uses this speech as a time to attempt to get people back to church he says “Dear friend, we are here today to counsel you that the time to stop being offended is now. Not only do we need you, but you need the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Please come back—now.”
I believe that this can be used for personal life too.
The speaker said that getting offended is a choice "When we believe or say we have been offended, we usually mean we feel insulted, mistreated, snubbed, or disrespected. And certainly clumsy, embarrassing, unprincipled, and mean-spirited things do occur in our interactions with other people that would allow us to take offense. However, it ultimately is impossible for another person to offend you or to offend me. Indeed, believing that another person offended us is fundamentally false. To be offended is a choice we make; it is not a condition inflicted or imposed upon us by someone or something else."
Can I hear an AMEN?!!? This man said it like it is :-)
This topic came up in my mind as I was driving home from work this morning. As I was listening to Air1 (a Christian rock radio station) and this song came on My Savior.
Likely to most powerful thought (to me at least) was "Through the strengthening power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, you and I can be blessed to avoid and triumph over offense. 'Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them' (Psalm 119:165)."
Goes back to with God all things are possible
So there you go, my little spout off on something that was on my mind.
Thanks for reading
